"Eddie", Laurie and "Dobie Duck"

The laughs are always stirred up with my fun and unpredictable cast of characters. It could be "Eddie", a young apprentice magician and self-appointed Master of Ceremonies, or "Dobie Duck", a family pet with attitudes, opinions and an "unrestrained" self esteem. Both enjoy getting a chance to chat with audience members and volunteers. My characters and I are always welcomed back as "Old Friends".

 In 1990, I started entertaining children as "Perky the Clown". The children loved the "silent" rabbit puppet I used in my shows. Knowing the children would love to hear "Floppo" talk to them, I took the Maher Studios course on Ventriloquism in 1993 and joined the North American Association of Ventriloquists and the International Ventriloquists Association.

Learning ventriloquism has really opened my world by having a venue to reach out and talk to both children and adults. It's amazing how even the most bashful child will respond and warm up to my puppet friends.
